AIBE is governed by a Management Committee comprising of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. The Secretary General appointed by the Management Committee who executes the policy and directions of the Management Committee is an ex-officio member without vote. They serve on the Committee on a voluntary basis without remuneration.

Stephan Rothlin
Dr Stephan Rothlin was born in Zurich, Switzerland. After studying in philosophy, economics, sociology and ethics in various cities in Europe, he obtained his PhD at the State University of Innsbruck, Austria in Business Ethics in 1991. Between 1992 and 1998 he taught Business Ethics at the Institute of Management and Economics of the University of Zurich.
In 1998 he moved to Beijing, where he taught International Business Ethics at various Universities, such as Renmin University (Finance & Business School); Peking University (BiMBA-program); Beijing Institute of Technology; the University of International Business and Economics and the Central Party School in Beijing. As Permanent Visiting Fellow he remains attached to the Institute for Empirical Research in Economics of the University of Zurich. He is regular visiting professor at a number of business schools in Asia and France.
His main research focus is the development of Business Ethics in Asia, with a special focus on China. He directs a series of translations of major textbooks on Business Ethics into Chinese in cooperation with Peking University Press. In 2004, he published his book "Becoming A Top-Notch Player".
Besides being the Chairman of AIBE, he serves as the Secretary General and Vice-Director of the Centre for International Business Ethics, Beijing (CIBE) at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). CIBE was set up in 2004.
Fluent in six languages, i.e German, French, Italian, Spanish, English and Mandarin Chinese, he has a considerable experience in cross-cultural projects.

Christopher Drake
Mr Christopher Drake has worked for many years in Europe, the USA and Asia in law, finance and business and currently works with a group of companies in Hong Kong. Qualified as a solicitor, and a member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute, he has also maintained a long-term involvement with several charitable and not-for-profit organisations., and is currently the President of the Association for Living Values Education International. He holds an M.A. in Jurisprudence from Oxford and his publications include the UNESCO-supported Peace Messenger Publication "Visions of a Better World".Treasurer
Alice Law
Ms Alice Law is the Director of Licensing of the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong. Her responsibilities include the management of the Licensing Department and the policy development for licensing matters.
She has joined the SFC in 1998 starting with the Corporate Finance Division. She had served in the Takeovers Team in monitoring M&A transactions and the Policy Team in devising regulatory policies for listed companies. She then moved onto the Investment Products Department in 2002 and became Director of Intermediaries and Investment Products Division in 2004. Ms Law assumed the position of Director of Licensing in 2006. She had also been on secondment with various securities regulators including China Securities Regulatory Commission and Australian Securities and Investment Commission.Ms Law is also a non-executive director and Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute. Before joining the SFC, Ms Law was a partner heading the Corporate and Commercial Department of a Hong Kong law firm. Ms Law is a qualified solicitor in both Hong Kong and England.
On the community service side, Ms Law is the ex-secretary and vice-president of the Christian Life Community. Ms Law is also a Council member of the Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership.

Stephen Chow
Fr Stephen Chow, S.J. was born and completed his secondary education in Hong Kong. He received most of his tertiary education in the United States earning his Ed.D. from Harvard University in 2006. The focus of his study is moral education in Hong Kong secondary schools, which shows that moral norm and moral culture are integral factors in effective moral education.
Fr Chow came across Business Ethics as an academic subject when he was pursuing a graduate degree in Organization Development at the Loyola University, Chicago in 1993 to 1995. He took immediate interest in the subject matters. And he proceeded to include the materials in the syllabus when he taught Ethics as a subject in the Jesuit schools in Hong Kong.
After obtaining his doctoral degree, he became the School Supervisor of the two Wah Yan Colleges in Hong Kong which are sponsored by the Society of Jesus. Fr Chow is also the chairman of the Education Commission which requires him to oversee the schools sponsored by the Society of Jesus in Taiwan, Macau, and Hong Kong.
Besides the aforementioned responsibilities, Fr Chow is also appointed Honorary Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. There he engages in part time teaching and a research project in the field of psychology in education, an area of his personal interest.Secretary General/Secretary
Andrew So
Mr So was the Honorary Chief Administrator of the Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership for 7 years since he retired as the Ombudsman of Hong Kong in 1999. He was the first Managing Director of the Credit Union League of Hong Kong and Founding President of the Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions. In 1994 he relinquished his position as the International Vice President for Asia and Africa of the CUNA Mutual Insurance Group after having served the Group for over 20 years. Mr So was also a Director, including one term as Treasurer, of the World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. Between 1978 and 1985, he was an appointed member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council.

Lucille Barale
Lucille was a partner of the Hong Kong office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She retired from the law firm in December 2006. Lucille has over 20 years of experience advising foreign businesses on investments in China, including the acquisition of existing companies, the establishment of new companies in the form of joint ventures or wholly foreign-owned businesses, and other structures for expanded operations in China, including outsourcing, technology licensing, brand protection, sales and distribution, engineering and construction projects. Lucille has advised on a variety of China projects ranging from cars and pharmaceuticals to power plants and websites.
Lucille joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 1993. She has written and spoken extensively on the subject of doing business in China and China's entry into WTO. She was chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong in 2004. Lucille reads and speaks Mandarin fluently.

Alfred J. Deignan
Fr Alfred J. Deignan, S.J. has been involved for many years in education with particular interest in helping the moral growth and development of young people. There is a great need for them to have basic human values, especially respect and responsibility, if they are to live together in harmony and peace. We need people in our society who live lives of honesty, justice, compassion, forgiveness and love, following the Golden Rule i.e.
"Do unto others as you would like them to do to you "
He has served as Vice-Principal and then Principal in Wah Yan College Hong Kong (1962 - 1970) and as Principal of Wah Yan College Kowloon (1978 - 1992). He was appointed Warden of Ricci Hall, University of Hong Kong (1970 - 1978). He promoted and ran courses for teachers including "Dialogue on Teaching as a Service", "Curriculum Improvement Process" and "Reflective Pedagogy".
He was involved with a group of dedicated educationalists in founding the ˇ§Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadershipˇ¨ in 1997, to promote basic human values and has served as the Chairman of the Institute. He is a keen supporter of ethics in business.

In accordance with its constitution, AIBE has invited institutions interested in the development and promotion of ethics in business to become partners. A partner has no structural, financial or legal linkage with the Association and is entirely autonomous and independent. However, for the attainment of common objectives in developing and promoting ethics in business, a partner and AIBE may, in accordance with the AIBE bylaws, share resources.
